There a LAPPED CAR prevented a possible WIN. what exactly? Isn't that the most artificial rule ever? And worse, two drivers from one team CAN use a strategy where they can influence the race results without fighting for any positions. Cause you have cars that are NOT fighting for positions. So, F1 using F1 style blue flags that are tuned to work with F1 style cars in F1 type series makes the MOST sense, and the current Indycar blue flags. This then creates an artificial "road block" where the cars lapping can be two seconds quicker per lap but can't get past, bunching the whole field up, negating any lead you have gained so far and creating dangerous traffic jams where lapped and lapping cars both are fighting for positions. And what that means is that pre 2022 cars lost three quarters from their total DF when following, making it impossible to get past even lapped cars. which is not how it is suppose to be BUT:į1 has had overbody aero the primary way to get downforce. The only thing i would say is a bit wrong in F1 blue flag rules is the need to slow down to let a car past. Each race series uses the kind of rules that work in that series. Just kidding, i love Indy but these kind of opinions are just stupid. Indycar is a bit different, and you could easily say that they fact they can do that in some tracks means it ain't fast enough, son. It is quite impossible in F1 to gain one lap back so it is only practical to have the rules reflect that fact.
